Fraternity Without Borders is a movement that gained strength thanks to many hearts willing to do good. |
One of these hearts is the DJ Alok, who, for two years, has embraced the cause and effectively taken part in our dream for a better world
The DJ met the Fraternity through his friend and promoter Andrei Moreira. |
Moved by inner questioning, Alok searched for more information about the NGO when he understood that his life would be more meaningful if he could help people as a social collective. |
Since then, he’s been to Mozambique twice, visiting villages and getting to know the reality of the Mozambican people. Last year, he and his brother, DJ Baskar, produced the CD “Chants for Africa” and donated the whole profit to the FWB cause.
“Sometimes when we knock on someone’s door for help, that person doesn’t feel touched, but when they feel the need to help, it all happens in a much more powerful way”, he affirmed as he talked about his journey of self-awareness, which made him want to do more for people.
“I had never seen such misery and poverty anywhere.The sights are very rough, intense.They’re not really living, they’re surviving”, he affirmed as he got acquainted with the reality of the Mozambique villages.
